WEEK 8 - 10 STEP COLOR BOOK
Craft: To create this image I first drew the outline with pencil. I then scanned the image into Photoshop and colored it in.
Concept: I wanted the viewer to think of a person walking to their car. The arrow was meant to show the direction in which the person was heading.
Composition: I wanted the viewer's eyes to go to the red building. This is why it is the only image that has color.

WEEK 6 - VISUAL VERB
Craft: To create the image I used the lasso tool and the magnetic lasso tool to isolate the image of the jumping girl. I then used the move tool to move the image of the jumping girl to the snow picture.
Concept: This image shows the verb of a jumping. This is what I wanted the viewer to think of when observing this image.
Composition: I wanted the viewer's eye to go to the jumping girl in this picture. To make the girl seem more visually interesting I moved her to the right side of the screen.

WEEK 5 - PARDON IN BRITTANY
Craft: To create the painting, the artist (Gaston La Touche) used oil on canvas. It is interesting to note how the yellows and oranges in the crowd give the illusion of light in the painting. This is what drew me to this painting.
Concept: This painting shows a woman being led on a horse while holding a child. The entire crowd seems to be observing her. Without knowing the story behind the painting, I believe that it is this woman upon the horse that is being pardoned. I believe that the artist is trying to tell the story of this woman.
Composition: I believe that the artist meant for the eye to first go to the woman on horse back and then to the illusion of light in the crowd. My eye was first drawn to the woman due to the fact that she stands high above the rest of the crowd and then to the light as it stands out against the black and white of the crowd.

WEEK 5 - GRAB MY EYE
Craft: To create this image, I first isolated a picture of a coke bottle using the magic wand application. After that I copied that image and proceeded to paste it onto a new document. After pasting it I duplicated the layer nine times and divided the layers evenly onto each side of the document. I then created two folders and added five layers to each folder. I began to duplicate each folder five times. I spread the layers out so that the white background of the image did not show. I then used a Gaussian Filter to blur all of the layers around one of the Coke bottles. I then transformed the Coke bottle by rotating it 180 degrees.
Concept: The concept of this image is to show how the brain works. If one piece of the image is out of place. Your eye will immediately go to that piece.
Composition: When looking at the image, I wanted the viewer's eye to go to the Coke bottle on the right side of the image. To do this I blurred the other Coke bottles around it and also rotated it 180 degrees so that it would be upside down.
